Phoenix Metro Area Residents

Wildflower Diapers - Phoenix, Arizona Cloth DiapersHello fellow Arizonans!  We are so glad you found Wildflower Diapers!  You are probably the only people visiting our store who may actually recognize the Desert Marigold on our front page.  That one came up in our back yard, and served as our company logo for about our first year in business!

I'm Shannon, the founder and owner of Wildflower Diapers.  I started Wildflower Diapers out of our home in April 2005 when our daughter, Ella, was about 5 months old.  Ella was cloth diapered, and we found it unusual that in such a large metropolitan area, we couldn't find a single store that carried any of the wonderful, modern cloth diapers that I kept seeing all over the internet!  We spent alot of time cultivating a strong online presence, while also talking to local moms' groups, making home visits to expectant parents, and offering our free workshops at Mothers' Milk Boutique- a local breastfeeding store that was amazing about offering us space and advertising for our little business.  I was so grateful to be able to run a small business with my children by my side- I was also still working part-time at Arizona State University as a Botanist, with Ella accompanying me to work.  So while I was working harder and longer hours than I ever had in my life, it allowed me to keep my baby and my older son, Riley (then 4) close by!  As Ella got older, I was unable to continue taking her to work at ASU so I left to make Wildflower Diapers a full-time (and then some!) venture.

Our little business soon grew out of our home, and we now have a shipping center and showroom in Scottsdale, where I work, still under Ella's supervision, with big brother Riley often joining us when school is out!  We have helpers now, some who have little ones of their own, so our customers may hear baby chatter in the background when talking with one of our customer service representatives!

We feel so lucky to have the support of so many local cloth diapering families, and it is a privilege to assist you as you start your journey into cloth diapering!  So whether you are veteran cloth diaperers just finding us, or expecting your first baby, we welcome you!

Warm Regards,

Shannon and the Wildflower Diapers Family

Wildflower Diapers, and everyone listed here, THANK YOU for supporting locally-owned, independent businesses!

Another resource for cloth diapering families in Arizona- the AZ-Cloth-Diapering group on Yahoo!  This group was started with the intention of connecting cloth diapering families in Arizona, as sometimes it seems like you are the only person in town that uses cloth diapers!  Also a great place to buy, sell, trade or donate gently used or outgrown diapers and covers.  My hope is that this group will connect local people for support, play groups, cloth diaper exchange, and whatever else it may grow to do!  You may visit and subscribe to the group here:  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AZ-Cloth-Diapering/
